Calculate your profit

We are building a better website for Queensland businesses. Visit our new site http://www.business.qld.gov.au

Use this calculator to work out the profit you would like your business to make.

You will need:

  • the total of your overhead costs from your most recent profit and loss statement
  • the amount of capital you´ve invested and the current long-term interest rate
  • return you expect to allow for the risks you´re running
  • amount to invest for future growth of your business.

Terms used here are defined in the Glossary.

A profit goal is the amount of money needed to meet a number of predetermined objectives that are important to both you and to the future of your business.

Type in only raw figures without dollar signs, commas or symbols. For example, type $20,000 and 5% as 20000 and 5 respectively.
